Gap Open Casting Call

Today we left early to get to our local Gap Kids to enter the contest for the next Gap Kid! We arrived about 10:15 (the time listed for photos was 10 - 4) and were greeted by a nice young woman who promptly gave us a card and said, "You appointment time is between 12 - 1pm". So we walked around, got something to eat at this used-to-be-but-isnt-good-anymore restaurant, and then went back to the Gap to stand in line and have our picture taken.

The kicker...

We still have to wait until Monday to download the picture and then still enter the contest ourselves. And so, you are asking....why did we make the treck?

Saved 4 spots on my digital camera's memory card? Awww...what the heck. Was a nice Saturday out with my kids. What can I say! Oh, and my little cousin who tagged along and realized that she is in NO RUSH to have children.

Parking Enforcment, yeah right!

Okay, so I am so sick of the "meter maids" in our neighborhood. This is the 2nd ticket that we've gotten BEFORE 6AM! The first one was around 2 AM and this one says 5 AM. This really sucks, the ideas that at 5 AM my car (and its hanging over rear area) are a hazard to pedestrians. It is DARK at 5AM by the way.

When I called the supervisor, she said the ticket was given on the meter maids way to work. Isn't that like illegal or something. Too bad they are giving tickets to those who are really endangering public safety. Why I don't feel bad about paying my taxes late. The city doesn't even deserve my money, if this is who they employ. That's all. Thanks.
